Ende Mai fand im CHL der Workshop Neuro-Onco-Functional Balance statt. Es handelte sich dabei um eine Veranstaltung des Service National de Neurochirurgie des CHL in Kooperation mit der Société Luxembourgeoise de Neurochirurgie Scientifique et Clinique (SLNCH).
In dem 2-tägigen Workshop wurden von internen und internationalen vor tragenden modernen Strategien der Hirntumorchirurgie, Strahlentherapie und Neurom Onkologie besprochen, insbesondere unter Berücksichtigung der Integration neuer Techniken wie z. B. der navigierte transkraniellen Magnetstimulation, der intraoperativen Ramanspektroskopie, intraoperativer konfokaler Lasermikroskopie, der Planung von Hirntumoroperationen mittels determiniertstischen und probabilistischen Faserbanddarstellungen des Gehirns, sowie der Integration von Sprach und Kognitionsmapping in die Behandlung in die operative Behandlung von Hirntumorpatienten.
Es handelte sich um Übersichtsreferate verbunden mit praktischen Hands Out Workshops, bei denen praktische Fähigkeiten in Bezug auf die oben genannten Techniken erlernt und geübt werden konnten. Es nahmen ca. 45 Personen teil (national und international).
Es gab zusätzlich eine Industrieausstellung. Hier wurden moderne Systeme der revidierten TMS, Exoskope, Spektroskopie, augmented reality Brillen, spektoroskopische Systeme und confokale Lasermiksoskope vorgestellt. Es wurde auch das moderne Verfahren der stereotaktischen interstitiellen Laserthermotherapie (LITT) von intrakraniellen Pathologien vorgestellt, welches demnächst am Service National ebenfalls eingeführt wird.
Die Präsentationen waren interdisziplinär von Neurochirurgen, Neurologen, Radiotherapeuten, Neuropathologie, Ergotherapeuten und Sprachtherapeuten.
Besonders erfreulich war der Team basierte Zugang und die Interdisziplinarität.
Es waren ebenfalls 2 Luxemburger StartUp Unternehmen beteiligt, mit denen der Service national im Rahmen von Forschungsprojekt zusammenarbeitet. Die Einführung wurde sowohl von der Direktion des CHL, als auch von Frau Dr. Francoise Liners, Direktorin des Bereichs Health Innovation des Wirtschaftsministerium Luxemburg gegeben.
Die Veranstaltung wurde als Fortbildungsveranstaltung von der Landesärztekammer des Saarlandes zertifiziert.
Die Rückmeldungen waren sehr positiv.
Workshop on Neuro-Onco-Functional Balance was an immense success
The Neuro-Onco-Functional Balance workshop took place at the CHL at the end of May. This was an event organised by the Service National de Neurochirurgie of the CHL in cooperation with the Société Luxembourgeoise de Neurochirurgie Scientifique et Clinique (SLNCH).
During the 2-day workshop, internal and international experts discussed modern strategies in brain tumor surgery, radiotherapy and neurom oncology, in particular with regard to the integration of new techniques such as navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation, intraoperative Raman spectroscopy, intraoperative confocal laser microscopy, the planning of brain tumor surgery using deterministic and probabilistic fiber band imaging of the brain, as well as the integration of language and cognitive mapping into the treatment of brain tumor patients.
These were overview presentations combined with practical hands out workshops where practical skills related to the above techniques could be learned and practiced. Approximately 45 people attended (national and international).
There was also an industry exhibition. Modern systems of revised TMS, exoscopes, spectroscopy, augmented reality glasses, spectoroscopic systems and confocal laser microscopes were presented. The procedure of stereotactic interstitial laser thermotherapy (LITT) of intracranial pathologies, which will soon be introduced at the Service National, was also presented.
The presentations were interdisciplinary and included neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiotherapists, neuropathologists, occupational therapists and speech therapists.
The team-based approach and interdisciplinarity were particularly pleasing.
Two Luxembourg start-up companies were also involved, with which the service collaborates nationally as part of a research project. The introduction was given both by the management of the CHL and by Dr. Francoise Liners, Director of Health Innovation at the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy.
The event was certified as an advanced training event by the Saarland Medical Association.
The feedback was very positive.
