Depuis 1999, il exerce à temps plein au CHL, dans le service national de Néonatologie Intensive (SNNI), qu’il a dirigé de 2000 à 2013. Il a participé activement, en tant que chef de département (2002-08), à la rénovation et au développement de la Kannerklinik et du SSNI.

Actuellement, il est maître de stage pour la formation des candidats spécialistes en pédiatrie (ministère de la Santé Belge) depuis 2000, maître de stage pour les étudiants en médecine de l’UCL et de l’Université de Liège. Membre de plusieurs groupes de travail au ministère de la SANTE Luxembourg. Membre fondateur du Luxembourg Rescucitation Council, il est également Instructeur ERC et directeur de cours ERC pour la réanimation néonatale avancée (Neonatal Life Support)

Il est membre de sociétés scientifiques : groupement belge de néonatologie (secrétaire de 1998-2011 membre du bureau), société Belge de pédiatrie, société Luxembourgeoise de Pédiatrie. Il a participé à plusieurs publications néonatales dans des revues scientifiques dont  Pediatrics, J Périnat Med, Arch Pediatr…

Elle est coopérant en Cardiologie Pédiatrique et Fœtale au CHL – Kannerklinik depuis 2000. Activité principale consacrée au suivi des cardiopathies congénitales de l’enfance à l’âge adulte en étroite collaboration avec des centres universitaires européens ainsi que le diagnostic anténatale des cardiopathies congénitales.

Durant son séjour aux Etats Unis, elle a obtenu une bourse de la American Heart Association, a publié plusieurs articles et a présenté à des congrès internationaux. Elle a été élu Fellow of the Association of European Pediatric Cardiology.

Depuis plusieurs années, elle fait partie du conseil médical du CHL et est actuellement trésorière de l’association luxembourgeoise de pédiatrie. Elle est membre de l’association luxembourgeoise de cardiologie et membre fondateur de l’association luxembourgeoise à l’aide des enfants cardiaques.

Elle est chargée du cours de « cardiologie pédiatrique » au Lycée Technique des Professions de Santé-Luxembourg depuis 2009.

Etude de médecine à Rotterdam, Pays Bas, suivi par un doctorat de recherches dans la même ville en 1986 (Professor Bruining, EUR) . En 1993 elle a obtenu le titre de pédiatre et en 1999 pédiatre endocrinologue-diabétologue. Elle a fait un DU en Santé Publique en 1988  et le GCPI en 1998 (Brookwood international academy of healthcare research).

Dès son arrivée à Luxembourg, elle a participé à la création d’une équipe multidisciplinaire (DECCP) pour la prise en charge des enfants et adolescents diabétiques. La prise en charge des jeunes avec des maladies endocriniennes a suivi par la suite.

Elle a continué  la recherche et a reçu plusieurs grants EU, interrégionaux  et internationaux. Depuis 2011 elle est attachée à l’université de Luxembourg (LCSB) et à l’IBBL  (PI Diabetes Mellitus) avec un focus sur les projets sur la pathophysiologie du diabète (1-2). Elle a publié > 80  publications dans des peer reviewed journaux (entre autres sur le dépistage/traitement des hypercholestérolémies et le diabète) et plusieurs chapitres dans des livres.

Elle a accompagné des étudiants de l’Institut Paul Lambin l’école d’ergothérapie, psychologie et de l’université de Luxembourg (LCSB) (travaux fin d’études).

Depuis 2007, elle représente le Luxembourg au PDCO (l’EMA ) De 2012 et 2014 elle est secrétaire-général de  l’ISPAD (société scientifique mondiale du diabète de l’enfant et l’adolescent).
